Looking at the Horizon Report, it identifies a few key things to look for in the coming year or few years. The near term horizon identifies cloud computing, and collaborative computing as key trends, with mobile technology in the short term of a few years, as these technologies continue to get more powerful and able to do more things.
With that in mind, here’s a few tools that I feel are useful in learning:
More and more of this is available on mobile devices like iPods, and smart phones as well as other types of apps available for education, although much of that is of the drill-and-kill style at the moment.
Interactive help. Carrying on a conversation would be ideal, but until that time arrives, a more interactve/intuitive help feature would be nice.
On-line collaboration would permit students to learn with other students. It would create a community of learners.
